The full title of this publication is SOUTH AFRICA - LAST STRONGHOLD OF STEAM. It is a small booklet of 68 pages 215mm by 135mm in landscape format. The first 51 pages give details of 25 different locomotive classes of locomotives used by the SAR&H with a photograph and short description of each. The final 16 pages provide seven specimen tours that could be arranged at the time for special steam trains for tailway enthusiasts.
